20 Things I'm Leaving Behind in 2022
For me, this year was all about living again after spending the last few years in survival mode.
I spent a lot of time looking inward, confronting my past, and learning to hope again. It wasn't all sunshine and roses, but it was necessary and I am thankful.
I honestly still can’t believe how fast this year has flown, but I am ready to see what God has in store. So, as we round out the year, what better time to let go of the old to make room for the new?
Here are 20 things I’m planning to leave in 2022:
Rooting my worth in my career, education, or productivity
Leaving the things I start unfinished
Making myself small and calling it humility
Fighting my natural hair
Avoiding conflict
Comparing my timeline, gifts, and purpose to others
Forcing friendships and relationships
Skimping on my quiet time with God
A poverty mindset
Scrolling first thing in the morning and last thing before bed
Dwelling on things I can’t change
Missing out on experiences because I don’t have someone to go with
Oversharing
Saying yes when I want to say no and vice versa
Not wearing what I want to avoid being seen as "extra"
Hiding
Feeling guilty about lazy days
Consulting with people before consulting with God and His word
Over-apologizing
Treating healing like a destination instead of a journey
What are you leaving behind in 2022? Let me know down below and have a happy New Year!
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11

I can relate with most of those. Especially 11 because it’s mostly in my nature but I know God is working on that part of me. It’s so hard to know you can’t change every situation, you can’t change people but I can only change and work on myself, my perspective, feelings, etc. And all the others point are so valid as well. 2023 is going to be A turning point for many I believe 🥰💯🙏🏼
